A native of Middle Tennessee, Joan Cheek has been a licensed realtor since 1990 and a Broker since 2006. Real Estate dsignations include: the Graduate Realtor Institute, (GRI), Certified Residential Specialist, (CRS), and Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) and Realtor Green. She is also a Life Member of the Awards of Excellence. Prior to her real estate career, she was a Location Manager in film production in Tennessee, Charleston, Atlanta, and New Orleans.

Community Involvement/Memberships
She is a former board member of Renewal House and the Tennessee Environmental Commission (TEC). She is currently on the Advisory Board of T.E.C. and an active board member of the Belcourt Theatre
Background
Joan is married to Will T. Cheek, a native Nashvillian. They spend their spare time gardening or at their cabin in Dickson County. They also enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
